Prof. Ron Hendel’s lecture on the Tower of Babel and what it teaches us about reading Genesis. Ron (UC Berkeley, Emeritus) just published the Anchor Bible Genesis 1-11 (Yale, 2024), the culmination of a career devoted to the Hebrew Bible, and his third book on Genesis. His “biography” of Genesis in Princeton’s Lives of Great Religious Books series is phenomenal, as is his Anchor Bible volume.
