
Visiting Buddhist Scholar from Japan offering an Interfaith Dharma Talk at the Dharma Center of Oklahoma on Saturday, June 13th

Dr. Dominick Scarangello will be visiting us from Tokyo, Japan! This is a special occasion and we are excited about the Talk (June 13th) he will be providing at the Dharma Center of Oklahoma.

Dr. Scarangello earned his Ph.D. in Religious Studies, concentration in East Asian Buddhism from the University of Virginia. He specializes in early modern and modern Japanese religions. He has taught at the University of Virginia and was the Postdoctoral Scholar in Japanese Buddhism at the Center for Japanese Studies, University of California, Berkeley (2013 – 2014). In addition to Dr. Scarangello’s academic accomplishments and credentials, he is also an ordained Buddhist practitioner, and highly experienced in meditation and other practices. Presently Dr. Scarangello is the International Advisor to Rissho Kosei-kai in Tokyo, Japan.
